Important: If this is the first time you are creating events in coreFORCE, you must follow the set up steps in the following article first: https://coreassist.freshdesk.com/a/solutions/articles/73000571993 Otherwise, you have trouble keeping events organized and displaying them to your customers.
NOTE:
This article is currently outdated and the create events page has been updated.
Please refer to the following video for the most up to date process:
Once you have the event types and product categories set up as described in the article above, you can create your events in Events & Facilities > Events > Create Events
Add the following information:
- Description - Short description of event
- Choose event Type
- Enter a detailed description (Will be carried in from Event Type detailed description if it has been set)
- Enter number of attendees allowed (must be > 0)

IMPORTANT!!!!!!
Check the box that says Create Registration Product (if you don't do this, customers will not be able to pay for your class)
- Enter the price of the class
- Set the Category to the category for this class that you set up. (note that EACH CLASS you offer must have its own category, see the article referenced above)
- If your class has a different tax rate than normal products (for example, if training classes are not taxable), select the appropriate tax rate for the registration product.

Additional Information and Recommendations:
After you have created your events, in Events Maintenance you will see the "Cost" field showing 0 for your events. This is not a problem; that field is not used for paid events. The price that your customers will see for registration is the price that you entered under Create Registration Product.
Always triple check the information you're putting in. It's much more difficult to change these records after the fact as you have to adjust both an event record and an event registration record for each event/class.
For the above reason, try not to book out a year in advance. If you make a mistake or have a store policy change, you may need to go back and edit hundreds of records.
