Customizing Facets for the Product Search Side Bar

Facets in the product search sidebar are limited to 20 for performance reasons.

By default they are sorted alphabetically, if you are not seeing the facets you want on a category you can prioritize specific facets by sort order.

Example of Alphabetical Sorting

To do this go to:

Products > Taxonomy > Facets

Set the sort order to a number less than 100, it is recommended that you initially put them in increments of 5 (ie: 5,10,15) so you can insert facets in between easily in the future.

Lower numbers show higher in the list ie:

1)5

2)10

3)15

4)20

If you want to exclude something completely from the list

Select that facet from the list and using the Actions button select Exclude from Sidebar

If you want to hide it from the Product Details page

Use the Actions button select Exclude from Details

Reset Sort will put the selected rows back to 100
